Then we revolutionised the customer experience, with Easyjet-style online booking and real-time updates from the operating theatre on the condition of their pet. Challenge

Celebrity vet Joe Inglis came to Datanauts with a vision for a new type of vets practice – one managed completely online. The challenge was that no one had built a fully web-based Practice Management System (PMS) before, and plenty of other developers had told him it couldn’t be done. After meeting Joe and discussing the idea, we thought it was a great adea (and one that might just work).

Solution

The Datanauts team decamped to the Vet’s Klinic HQ in Swindon and spent 3 days with Joe and the team planning how a cloud-based vet practice should work. Just 6 months later we delivered a platform that runs every aspect of the business – from staff management and customer relations through to clinical records and bookings.

The new platform has enabled their surgery to sign up 8,800 owners (and 17,000 pets) in the first two years of operation. Customers love the innovative booking system that enables them to specify the time they want to come to the surgery and choose the staff member they want to see. Vet’s love the fact that their work flow is entirely iPad based, making it possible for them to spend more time with pets and less time doing paperwork.
